San Diego Mexican Restaurant, Searcy’s newest Mexican Food restaurant, is open for business. Owners, Alfonzo and Nora Ortega-Walle, held a Ribbon Cutting celebration in conjunction with the Searcy Regional Chamber of Commerce on May 14, 2012. They are located at 1610 West Beebe Capps which is conveniently located across from the Searcy Athletic Center. “We want to be part of the community,” said Nora Ortega-Walle. “We love the food business and when people come here we want them to feel like family”. They offer an array of Mexican dishes including seafood and their famous volcano fajitas, all served in vibrant Mexican décor including TV’s and hand painted murals. An outside seating area is available, weather permitting. Call-in-orders are welcome and they have a drive-thru for your convenience. They are open from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. seven days a week. “Just because it’s Mexican food doesn’t necessarily mean it has to be spicy or hot,” said Ortega-Walle. “Because we make our food fresh, we can modify many of our menu items for your taste or diet restrictions”.
