About Us

As the nonprofit, accredited organ procurement organization for Arkansas, ARORA works with hundreds of partners throughout the state–hospitals, medical professionals, law enforcement agencies, coroners and the Arkansas Medical Examiner–to maximize each opportunity for organ and tissue donation. Through the miracles of modern medical science, thousands of people’s lives are changed by this work every year.

NO FORM OF THERAPY HAS HAD AS DRAMATIC AN EFFECT ON THE COURSE OF TERMINAL
ILLNESS AS ORGAN AND TISSUE TRANSPLANTATION.

Since 1988, more than 700,000 transplants of all organs have been performed across the United States, and effectiveness just keeps improving. Over the past years each type of transplant has seen not only more procedures performed, but has continually improved outcomes for patients as well.

ANY PERSON MAY BE CONSIDERED FOR ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATION

Age limits exist for some tissue donation but no age limit exists for organ donation.

There are three organ transplant centers in Little Rock, Arkansas.
